How many hours have you invested in helping a relative or a friend who has a problem, low self esteem or feeling depressed?

Now tell me this, how many hours do you invest in yourself when your own luck is down, when you feel deflated or when you feel out of control?

Sadly we just don't give ourselves the time we need or deserve to fill our own tank and then we wonder why we feel flat, sad or tired.

I'm lucky enough to follow all my favourite passions and invest plenty of time for me, but that was not always the case.  I thought that complaining or offloading to a friend was normal and so I was able to hide, mostly from myself.

Today I live differently, I put myself first, unapologetically, on a typical morning I will ask myself what I need, a short meditation, daylight, a positive talking to, etc, and then I'm set up for a good day.

Of course there is more to it and its about doing the things for yourself that make you feel grounded, calm, peaceful, it may be cutting out some of the negative conversations you have with people, filtering through your friends to review who still serves you as you are today, not who you were five years ago.

Then there's the activities you make time for that feed your soul, it could be singing, acting, dancing or playing sport, it makes you come alive and it acumulates into pockets of time where the message you are sending your brain is , I matter.

You deserve to wake up every day and remind yourself how important you are, remember that you matter and what you do with your time, your energy, your thoughts matter.

If you want support getting back on track and finding your sparkle then book in with me for a free 30 min call.
