GB News this morning with Eamonn Holmes, is it ever okay to tell a white lie?

If your white lie is to protect someone's feelings or to save your reputation at work, it can be forgivable. Do we lie about how long an assignment took us, how many calls we made to secure the deal? How long you worked in your last job?

The small white lies will never harm, it's the bigger lies that cause damage. Portraying yourself as something you are not may give people a false sense of what you are capable of and land you with too much responsibility too soon. Saying you have knowledge in an area that is new to you will not help you learn or be shown.

There is no shame at all admitting you don't know how to do something, most people value honesty and sincerity.
